In time for travels by driving at night allowing

In 1925, Houdina Radio Control demonstrated the radio-controlled 1926 Chandler equipped with an antenna that was controlled by a second car following it and sending out radio impulses which were caught by the antenna.
Then an early representation of an automated guided car was Norman Bel Geddes’s Futurama exhibit sponsored by General Motors at the 1939 World’s Fair, which depicted radio-controlled electric cars that were propelled via electromagnetic fields provided by circuits embedded in the roadway.
During the 1960s, the United Kingdom’s Transport and Road Research Laboratory tested a driverless Citroen DS that was guided with magnetic cables that were built-in the road. It went through a test track at 130 kilometers per hour without changing the speed or direction in any weather conditions, and in a far more effective way than by human control.
After a very long period, many major automotive manufacturers, including General Motors, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Toyota, BMW, and Volvo, have been testing driverless car systems in 2013.
After self-driving cars appeared, they were perceived in many different ways. Some were unsatisfied with probable loss of pleasure from full control of car themselves. Others saw a salvation from fatal accidents mostly caused by human error.
However, despite differences in opinions autonomous car’s production has begun, and just like everything else, they have both advantages and ,accordingly, disadvantages. The first advantage is reduction of car accidents 80% of which are caused by human error. The second plus is that these cars would decrease the time for travels by driving at night allowing driver to sleep at night. In addition, speed limits could be increased to shorten travel time. On the other hand, such car would be an expensive pleasure, costing over $100,000. Also, taxi, bus and truck drivers will lose their jobs as they would no longer be needed. Besides, cars would collect human data and important information and their hack would mean the theft of this private data.
In spite of all rumors and speculations many companies are set up to implementing new-generation cars in modern life. For example, General Motors may release car with no steering wheel, meaning the full control of AI over vehicle. Also, Nvidia, the company specializing in software production will release a new platform for fully autonomous taxis. In addition, Russian company “Yandex” has also introduced their self-driving taxi. And the most successful example are 3 autonomous cars, manufactured by American company “Tesla”.
Overall, self-driving cars appeared 93 years ago and were perceived differently. During this long period they gradually developed.  They were changing, modifying and the launch of full-scale production will mean a very big step into the future of transportation for the whole humanity.
